Susan Beesley
Practice Manager
Having spent many years running her own business - providing accounting, business and payroll services on a consultancy basis to small businesses, Susan was appointed Practice Manager at Parkvets in 1997.
In 1999 she was awarded The Veterinary Business Journal Practice Manager of the Year Award.
She is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Practice and describes her role as "having responsibility for anything and everything non-clinical". What Susan like most about my job are the new challenges and the satisfaction of seeing the practice grow. Among the disadvantages of her job Susan lists the very, very long hours! For the future she sees her job as growing with the development of the practice and she hopes to have the opportunity to share my learning experience with others.
Susan is actively involved with the Veterinary Practice Management Association (VPMA) as a regional organiser for South East London, Kent and Sussex.
Behind the scenes Susan has a very supportive husband, Chris who also works on the management team of Parkvets. At home she has teenage children of her own and three stepchildren. She is currently learning to play the piano and to speak French.
Away from work Susan loves to travel, she is very passionate about for skiing and has recently fulfilled her ambition to own a property in the French Alps - albeit a barn!
Susan's dream is to live in the mountains and ski every day in the winter! Her philosophy is that life is all about taking chances and making the most of opportunities that present themselves.
