1st Opinion Vets Required for London Vet Hospital
We are an accredited BVHA Veterinary Hospital practice situated on the Kent/London border. Our vibrant practice has a busy caseload of both 1st opinion and referral work. We employ 18 vets including several certificate/diploma holders and are equipped to the very highest standard possible.

Your role will be to provide 1st opinion consulting, general surgical and medical services from our Tier 3 hospital. You will work well within a team but must have confidence to manage cases independently and proactively during weekend shift work. You will also have a strong understanding of customer needs and possess excellent client care skills.
MRCVS status and the ability to handle general surgical/medical cases (including emergencies) confidently are essential. Enrolment in a certificate or a willingness to further your studies is desirable.
You will enjoy an enviable work pattern of 7½ days on in 14, including alternate weekend consulting duties. Your on call responsibilities will be 1 weeknight in 21 with no weekend out of hours. You will enjoy significantly above SPVS average earnings potential, enviable CPD funding and 5 weeks holiday per year.

Based at our hospital, your role will be to provide 1st opinion consulting, general surgical and medical services across our award winning group. As a new graduate you can expect fantastic support to ensure you develop the right habits and skills providing you with an excellent start to your first opinion career.
You will be expected to complete your RCVS PDP and will receive unrivalled support from our energetic team to help you achieve year one competencies. MRCVS status is a prerequisite for this position.
