Biography

Born and raised in Erith Johnathan started his nursing career in Brixton before joining Parkvets.

When Johnathan started at Parkvets as a kennel assistant he was amazed at the size of the hospital and professionalism of the people he was working with.  He comments "Having tried to work with animals since leaving school I knew Parkvets was the best place for training, so I was delighted to become a trainee nurse with them when the position became available."

Johanthan is currently at college with a lot of hard work ahead of him but he is determined to become qualified next year.  "What makes it easier is that the people I work with are not only fun to work with but are really supportive of my training.  Once qualified I intend to further my knowledge in reptiles.  Owning different reptiles myself I know first hand the unique, high level of care they require."

At home Johnathan has a spoilt sausage dog called Ozzy who only does tricks for food.  "He is very smart and somehow manages to be sleeping on my bed when I wake up in the morning...I don't know why I let him get away with it."  He also has two tortoises called Rocky and Pebbles. Says Johnathan, "both have a character of their own and get up to mischief.  After a successful hibernation this year I was shocked to find rocky laying her first egg over Easter, a 'Easter egg' as my mum called it."

Johnathan has been with the practice for four years and is currently halfway through his training.  In between studying and working Johnathan manages to find time to play airsoft with some of his colleagues.
