Biography
I was born and grew up just outside Philadelphia, USA. At the age of 5 I had the job of naming our family's first pet, a Newfoundland puppy (I named her Cotton Candy in honor of her long fluffy fur). Ever since then animals of all shapes and sizes have played a large part of my life.
In 2002 I recieved a degree in Biological Sciences from Cornell University in upstate New York, after which I moved to London - and I've lived in the UK ever since! I trained as a veterinary surgeon at at the Royal Veterinary College in London and qualified in 2009. I then began my veterinary career at a small animal practice in Norfolk. However, I was soon tempted back to London and the southeast and came to Parkvets in February 2011.
I am happy to say I've settled in really well at Parkvets and love working with such a teriffic team of vets, nurses, and staff. It's also been great to meet all the lovely animals and owners who come to Parkvets. I enjoy all aspects of being a "GP" vet but I'm particularly interested in dermatology and internal medicine.
In my spare time I like to travel - I've visited most of the 50 US states (8 to go!) and also recently travelled to Japan. Despite the time difference, I also try to keep up with American sports, and have spent more than a few late nights watching Philadelphia Phillies baseball games!
