Seven Magnificent Reasons why Parkvets is Best for Boosters
For some practices, annual vaccinations are a matter of a quick injection and that's it, your pet's visit is over in seconds. At Parkvets, we feel this isn't enough.
For most people and their pets, the annual vaccination is the only contact with the vet each year. But remember every one of our years is equivalent to seven of theirs. That's a long time between check-ups which makes it essential to get the most out of each visit.
To achieve this we've produced a seven point checklist of what we do and recommend each year in addition to the basic vaccination.
1. Your appointment will last for at least 15 minutes - so why not use it! This is your chance to tell us about any problems or ask advice about your pet.
2. A general health assessment and report - We will perform a full clinical examination of your pet to make sure there are no problems.
3. A dental check up - we humans have to visit the dentist and the doctor to get a full check up. At Parkvets a dental check is a standard part of our health assessment.
4. Urine testing - don't forget to bring in a urine sample for us to test. Urine can be quickly analysed to pick up vital early signs of illnesses like kidney disease and diabetes.
5. Parasites - Fretting over fleas, worried about worms? Don't be, at Parkvets your pet will be individually assessed to ensure you won't be putting it or your family at risk from any of these troublesome parasites. Our parasite plan unique way of keeping your pet and your family safe.
6. The weight check. Obesity causes many of our pets suffer unnecessarily with conditions like arthritis and diabetes simply because they are overweight. Exercise and a good diet are crucial for healthy pets; this is your chance to get things under control.
7. Identichip check - Does your pet have a microchip? If so we'll check it's working normally. If it isn't chipped then why not get one implanted at the check-up. It's the cheapest and best way to permanently identify your pet and so that it can be quickly identified at rescue centres. We now stock the latest Biotherm™ identichips, which can read your pet's body temperature as well!
Finally to add that extra incentive we'll give you an extra stamp on your loyalty card if you print this webpage and bring it with you to your booster appointment!
