Puppy Club
Parkvets Puppy Club is a four-week socialisation course for owners and their new puppy run by our nursing staff. This is an education and training service that is offered free of charge to owners of new puppies.
To be eligible for puppy club a puppy must meet the following criteria:
- Have been passed fit at a health check
- Had its first vaccination at Parkvets
- Be no older than 16 weeks.
A number of topics are covered at puppy club including:
- toilet training
- brushing your dog's teeth
- grooming
- basic obedience
- common behaviour problems.
However an important part of the course is to give puppies a chance to meet and play with other puppies, adults and children in a novel environment. It also gives puppy owners a chance to socialise, compare puppy stories and ask questions in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Who is it for?
The Puppy club is open to all Parkvets' clients who have a new puppy. All of the family is invited including children over 3 years. The course is aimed at producing good family pets and understanding, confident dog owners.

Contact the Footscray veterinary hospital reception on 02083008111 and ask for details. Because demand is so high we run two classes per week. The receptionists will be able to advise you if spare places are still available but be warned puppy club is extremely popular so book quickly to avoid disappointment!
