Dental disease has always been a priority at Parkvets. For the past decade we have been lucky enough to employ some of the most experienced and talented small animal dentists in the UK.
In February 2008 we upgraded our equipment so that we now boast a dental theatre at our Footscray hospital that rivals the best in the world.
Additionally we have been building our in house dental expertise through further education and time spent with specialists. As a result, we are delighted to announce that Andy Perry is our new resident pet dentist.
Services Available
In addition to the basic periodontal and exodontic work we have always undertaken (scaling/polishing and extractions) we are delighted to be able to offer the following services:
- Endodontic treatment - root canals and tooth restoration which allows a tooth to be saved rather than extracted.
- Orthodontic bridge work - a treatment for undershot jaws or teeth that erupt in the wrong position.
- Oronasal fistula repair - a communication between nose and mouth.
- Dentigerous cyst treatment - common in dogs with squished up noses like boxers.
- Jaw fractures.
