Using Your Pet Passport - Going Away
You must make sure to use an approved carrier/ route and always check with the consulate of the country to which you are travelling that the basic EU pet passport is all that is required. Getting to the airport and finding out that you needed an additional certificate is a great way to ruin a holiday.

**Pets can travel between the UK and Republic of Ireland without the need for a Pet Passport.
Provided you travel using an approved carrier via an approved route you can enter these countries twenty one days from the completion of the rabies course. (Should you wish to re-enter the UK then the six month rule still applies.)
